Overview

This was where it all started. Meet the heart of the city nested in the oldest hill of Lisbon. It is the hill of fado and of the typical taverns that preserve their genius and traditional roots. From the quarters of Graça and Alfama, through Mouraria up to the São Jorge Castle, you may be lucky enough to come across a sardine barbecue on the street. We hop out in Alfama, take a walk through this music quarter and listen to its cries. You will be able to see Roman remains, medieval houses that survived the 1755 earthquake, the magnificent Lisbon Cathedral, squares livened up by outdoor cafés, nooks and alleys reminiscent of Arab cities – Lisbon’s multicultural history has also left its mark here. Incredible views of the city from the many natural windows it offers will not be left out.

We where in Lisbon for 3 days and had a great experience with Pavlo. He spoke English perfectly and knew alot about Lisbon and it’s history. In the end we drove for 1,5 hour but we saw so much it felt like a whole day. Thank u Pavlo for teaching us about your beautiful city!

Fun way to check out the old city

We decided to check out Lisbon on our first day via Tuk Tuk. This was a fun way to see the sights, the tuk tuk can get places other vehicles can't, and saves the legs on those hills. Our driver Thiago was a bundle of energy and enthusiasm, he grew up in the area and gave us some great tips for us to revisit during our stay.

I cannot recommend .Nonu our driver highly enough. As we had only 2 days to explore Lisbon, we decided to take a tour with him and his company. What a delight!! So very interesting and informative. So much so that we booked a second tour the next day. Nonu was gracious, very helpful and charming with extensive knowledge of the city. He went out of his way to show us sights he thought would interest us such as street art viewing places and the fabulous pastries of Belem amongst many others. He also helped us with our otinary booked us a restaurant and picked is up from our hotel to take us there. Thank you so much Nonu you made our stay in Lisbon so special and we felt that we experienced as much as possible in such a short time. We wish you all the besy

Tiago the Great Tuk Tuk Tourist Guide

We had a great experience with Tiago on his very beautiful Tuk Tuk touring the old city for two hours. The day before we had had a fiasco on the Tram 28 packed in like sardines and not knowing where to get off - then not being able to get off we ended up down the hill again! My friend recommended Tiago and she was right! he is a bundle of enthusiasm and speaks perfect English to boot. He is a proper tourist guide so our tour was crammed with history and little stop-offs. We learnt so much and Lisbon is so hilly it would have been exhausting without him.
