Overview
Visit the Lagoa do Fogo Caldeira. We take some secondary roads to get the best views that others miss out on. At the top of Pico da Barrosa the highest point is 947 meters. It is here that we find some of the most spectacular views of the island.

What a fantastic adventure! The views were amazing. Eddie was the best, lots of humor, fun ride through the back roads and mountains. Stopped for an unforgettable lunch, local seafood and wine. Eddie made a special effort for us to enjoy the Azores in the short time we had.
We would highly recommend Eddie and the tour.
Our tour guide Sergio was the best! He didn't only tell us a lot of interesting facts about the local nature, but he was also very funny and offered to take photos of us at all the viewpoints (you could think he's a professional photographer, too :D). Additionally, even though the tour's stops are of course mostly fixed, where possible he tried to tailor the tour according to our individual wishes - thanks a lot for that! :)
I was positively surprised how much we were able to see in half a day! So we didn't only visit Lagoa do Fogo (sooo beautiful there -I've attached a photo!), but also stopped at several stunning view points. However, we were really lucky with the weather that day - I think if it's foggy or rainy the experience might not be the same. So better look out for the weather forecast ;D
