To make matters worse I had brought my friend along with me so feeling the pressure of showing him a good time.
Normally I don't go for these types of tours, as I often find them too generic. Our time in Portugal was nearing its end with nothing to lose I decided to book this tour. It turned out to be the best decision during the whole week.
When I told our guide our holiday had been sub par so far he took it as a personal challenge to show us a great time before we left back home.
We were lucky that the people that tagged along with us were on the same wavelength as us. We had great conversations many laghs during the whole day.
As for the tour itself it had a bit of everything. Our tour guide took us into nature showing the local breathtaking countryside and cliffs. Then some wine tasting. Then we were taken to a sort of a cathedral made out of human bones. Definitely an intense experience as we could feel the energy of the tortured Souls paving the walls of this Monument. Then for the gastronomical part of the tour the best chicken I've ever had in my life. Turns out it's a local specialty that I had been missing out on. All this paired with the great sense of humor as well as the will to go above and beyond of our young tour guide. It ended up being the best day we had during our brief getaway (by far!) . Best of all I met my future girlfriend that I plan on making my wife very soon. Truly an unforgettable day. I can honestly recommend this to tour to people of all ages and walks of life. I can't wait to go again. Five stars !
