Sandeman Cellars
In front of the city of Porto, is the majority of the cellars where, for hundreds of years, Port wine has been aged.

The fundamental difference of Port wine in relation to the rest of the wines is the brandy that they include to interrupt the fermentation. Thus, the drink conserves the original sweetness of the grapes maintaining a high level of alcohol.

The idea of putting brandy in the wine came in the seventeenth century, when English merchants were interested in buying Portuguese wines, but these wines could not stand the long journeys in the ships that carried them. From there they had the idea of starting to strengthen them with brandy so that they did not spoil.

Leisurely tour of Fatima and Porto
Celeste_B, 27-01-2020
Very friendly and cheerful guide! Eusebio Lima provided very comfortable private tour with more than enough time spent in Fatima and Porto, without unnecessary wait times or gimmicky stops. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. Wish we could have gotten to Óbidos earlier, but that would've meant cutting time short in Fatima and Porto which would have been disappointing.
Picturesque Porto
Richard L, 29-08-2019
A trip to Portugal isn’t complete without visiting picturesque Porto. What a beautiful seaside town, with brightly painted facades each dawned with balconies overlooking cobbled stones streets. Quaint little intimate cafes line the streets with something special for everyone’s taste. Was a sight to behold, just stepping back and admiring the many churches as well as the city’s train station(Sao Bento railway station) adorned with their azulejos tiles. Truly an experience I will never forget.

We really enjoyed it.
Porto with my sister
travelbugsrlan, 31-08-2019
My sister and I booked a small group tour to Porto, Fatima and Óbidos through Viator and connected almost immediately with Eusebio Lima of Eagle Travel Tours who introduced himself as our guide for this 14 hour tour from Lisbon.

From the get go Eusebio communicated via text regarding pick up info etc..and then again closer to the tour date with reminders. On the assigned day he picked us up promptly at 7.20am but advised us to take our time...have breakfast if we hadn’t already done so as we were going to be his only guests for the tour!! We were so pleased that we would be having a private tour after all.

This was just the beginning of an amazing day spent with Eusebio. Who was very polite, friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable about his country and proudly so.

First stop was Fátima where we spent about an hour or so. We were able to sit awhile...reflect and pray without feeling rushed at any point. Eusebio took many photos both candid and requested which he sent to me via Whats App.

Next stop was the beautiful town of Porto...he took us to all of the main points of interest and those that we just shouldn’t miss all the while taking lots of photos which he shared with us. We had a quick stop for lunch and were once again on our way to Óbidos.

We reached Óbidos in the evening at about’s a very small quaint town with one way in and out so he left us to our own devices here once again never rushing us but told us to take all the time we wanted there to explore.

Once again we were on our way back to Lisbon at the end of a very long but rewarding tour. Eusebio was a perfect host. His van was outfitted with Wifi and he showed lots of videos on a screen that gave us the history of each place that we visited and a bonus was videos of his wife singing beautiful Fado.

If ever you select this beautiful tour I do hope that you will also get lucky to get Eusebio Lima of Eagle Travel Tours as your guide.
