I booked a private boat...

I booked a private boat tour for 4, which was actually for 2 as unbeknownst to my girlfriend I planned to propose on the trip (spoiler: I did and she said yes!).

Filipe and Sara were so helpful in planning this trip - I reached out to them as soon as I booked to explain the plan and they helped me to organize exactly the right spot, even checking the exact time of sunset to ensure we would be just by the Tower of Belem at exactly the right time. When we arrived in the evening, both of them were super discreet and ensured that we had a really enjoyable sail and my fiance didn’t have a clue! The sailboat - Belle - was charming, with a cushion area at the front to sit on (perfect for two!) and a larger seating area at the rear. Sara and Filipe ensured that the wine was flowing and the cheese board was delicious, and Sara pointed out some of the key sights from the water as we sailed. At the front of the boat, we were able to put our music on with the speaker and this is where I planned to propose at sunset. When the time came they ensured that we were stopped with a perfect view of the sun, and the Tower of Belem and the proposal came off without a hitch! Afterwards both congratulated us warmly and ensured our glasses were topped up!

All in all a fantastic and memorable trip, and one that we couldn’t recommend highly enough (especially if you’re planning something special!)

I booked a Private Group tour for a Sunset on the Tejo river. All I can say is, that this was the best experience we had in our 5 day trip to Lisbon.

Sara and Filipe are very welcoming hosts and we had a few nice Chats. We really had the Chance to enjoy our time on their boot and the Tejo river.

The Price of the experience is very fair. I would definitely recommend to book this experience with Sail by the Sea.

Lissabon bei Sonnenuntergang vom Wasser aus - einzigartiges Erlebnis mit Sara und Filip

Wir - 2 Erwachsene, 2 Jugendliche- waren und sind von der Tour zum Sonnenuntergang absolut begeistert. Der Treffpunkt war sehr gut beschrieben und gut zu finden, Filipe und Sara das sehr sympathische Skipperpärchen holten uns pünktlich ab. Ihr Boot ist super gepflegt und wir konnten uns überall hinsetzen. Die Kids entdeckten gleich ihren Lieblingsplatz am Bug und die Bluetoothbox während wir Erwachsenen den vielen Informationen zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten lauschten, die uns Sara und Filipe erzählten. Vom Hafen aus ging es an vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten vorbei es Richtung Alfama, dann rüber nach Almada, unter der Brücke hindurch zum Torre de Belem und wieder zum Hafen. Die Aussicht vom Wasser auf die Stadt ist einfach grandios und unglaublich entspannend wenn der Wind dazu sanft in den Segeln weht. Leckere Snacks und Getränke gab es auch und
tolle Restauranttipps bekamen wir auch noch. Der Segeltripp war ein absolutes Highlight auf unsere fast 3 wöchigen Reise durch Portugal. Wenn wir wieder nach Lissabon kommen werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder einen einplanen.

J’avais offert à mon conjoint cette expérience de 2 heures au coucher du soleil sur le voilier de Filipe pour notre 7ème anniversaire.
Il a été époustouflé et moi aussi !
C’était un moment incroyable, avec des vues magnifiques de Lisbonne vue du Tage.
Nos hôtes étaient charmants, donnant pas mal d’explications et d’anecdotes sur la ville. Avec apéro en prime. Un moment vraiment suspendu.
Je le recommande mille fois et n’hésiterai pas une seconde à le refaire si nous sommes de nouveau de passage à Lisbonne.

Lisbon landscape is by itself beautiful, but seeing it on the river perspective was absolutely unforgettable!
Sara and Filipe were very kind, explaining some nice curiosities about Lisbon and the monuments, and spoiled us with amazing Portuguese snacks and wine!
I totally advise to have this experience, and will repeat once I am back in Lisbon! :)
