Experience to be driven in a classic jeep cabrio 4x4 to the second westernmost point of continental Europe. This Safari let you feel the harmonious spirit and the beauty of Espichel Cape, a place with a very strong landscape character.

On this ride you will explore the most remote paths that guide you to the most remarkable views: a sublime example of a "land´s end" landscape, where sky and sea meet, in an infinitive horizon, conductive to contemplation and meditation.

The highlight of this tour: are the footprints of dinosaurs located on a ledge of the Jurassic cliffs . The tracks left by saurops and theropods, have 150 million years ago. The ride allows thre traveller to discover and explore the most incredible and beautiful wild beaches of whole entire region located on wild West coast and south coast.

What To Expect

Mostly sought by surfers, it has no surveillance and almost no infrastructure. It is famous by the clear water and the extensive sand. Access is not too difficult either, as there is a wooden staircase that goes down the cliff.

Located on the western coast, between Cabo Espichel and Praia das Bicas, Praia da Foz is still unknown to many people.

It has a small sandy beach, ideal for those who prefer to be away from the crowds. The sea is sometimes rough and forms some currents, advising some caution on the part of the swimmers.

Parque Natural da Arrabida

Time for a short Hiking tour to the Hell beach.Is a sandy beach with a darker sand than normal. It is located in front of an imposing vertical rock that protrudes from the cliff, shrinking the strip of sand. The view from the top is fantastic. The beach is composed of pebbles and blocks of considerable size. It is located in a small cove, the seabed is rich in biology and geological events, attracting diving enthusiasts.
• Access to the base of the escarpment is complex with medium-high difficulty degree.

Only accessible by foot or boat, continues to be a secret of Sesimbra coast.. When we reach the wild beach we will have free time to dive in the transparent waters. The best way to peek at the Local Culture and history outside Lisbon

This was great from start to finish. The two tour guides are father and son. They are lovely and share a nice energy. They know their history and provided detailed answers to any questions we asked! The best spot was the Dinosaur foot prints on the very steep landscape right by the water, what a sight to see! We had an amazing lunch inspired by their recommendations for which fish / what species is in season at the moment. It was great to dive into a more folkloric scene than what most tours have to offer. The surprise additional stop at the end was awesome too!

Capo espichel tour

The tour with André is not the conventional tour around the most visited places. He drove us around with a very fun off road jeep to wonderful places:
A castle with an amazing view and one of the nicest church in portugal with azulejos inside, and after that we visited visit capo espichel, with its wonderful church and the dinosaur footprints, located in a magical place with a beautiful view in front of the ocean.
Our trip ended in a very cool and not crowded beach, where you can jump into the ocean if you'd like to.
Moreover André is a fantastic person, very helpful and we had a lot of fun with him.
It's not a conventional tour, but it's worth it.

Spent 6 nights in Sesimbra and after day 4 we decided to branch out from spending another day at the beach. Andre was more than accommodating by agreeing to take us on such short notice and picked us up from our hotel only a few hours after calling to enquire about a tour.

We spent the afternoon driving to multiple locations along the cape of Espichial including the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora, the capes Lighthouse, beaches and our favourite the Dinosaur footprints. Andre was gracious enough to take lots of photos of us throughout our tour.

Andre was able to tell us all about the region including its colourful history and flora and fauna. As well as being knowledgeable, Andre is very passionate about his country and takes great pride in the area having grown up here. He even has very good taste in music as we were treated to a banging soundtrack while driving between locations.

We look forward to returning to Sesimbra in the future and going on another of the Look Around Jeep Tours with Andre and his team.

We were picked up at our hotel in Sesimbra by an enthusiastic tour guide Andre! After having a coffee in a local bar and some explanations about the tour, we were driven to the most beautiful places of western Europe/Portugal. Nature is amazing here, and the combination with ancient places like the Castle and Church with Pelgrimshouses at Cabo Espichel is great! Andre also showed us two places where we could see the dinosaur foot prints. He gave some additional information and made some beautiful photos of our small group which he shared immediately with us. He was not in a hurry and we had a lovely time in thus amazing place. Great tour!
