The Islamic history rooted over the years in Lisbon is worth taking note of as the Muslims Moors conquered the city in 711, and there are several historical and architectural monuments like Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and Torre de Belém World Heritage Sites. Visit the Central Mosque inaugurated on March 29, 1985 it is a temple of modern architecture and the main and most prominent mosque in Lisbon.
