This tour was fantastic. Our guide, Ricardo was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and funny. I learned a ton about the history of the Azores and saw some of the most beautiful sites the island provides. Ricardo taylored a schedule which allowed us to see more places and at times when they were less busy. The lunch we enjoyed was also delicious.

Not a sunny day in Sao Miguel

Our guide Eduardo made our day feel like an adventure even though we didn’t have the best weather. He was extremely accommodating and very engaging. We recommend him strongly while you are in Sao Miguel. He is the best!!!!

The best tour imaginable!

I spent several days on jeep tours all over the island with the incredible Henrique as my guide, and it was the best Azores experience imaginable. One would think the lakes would be the highlight -- and they certainly are stunning -- but going through rich and intense forests on unpaved roads in the jeep was glorious and exquisite beyond belief. The guide was the best I'd ever had -- deeply knowledgeable, totally engaging, resourceful (we had a lot of rain, and he always found options that were beautiful and fun), and someone who really listens, so the trip was tailored to my interests. Quite simply, the best tour I'd ever taken in any country. And every member of the Green Zone staff I encountered was terrific -- friendly, helpful, and wonderful. I recommend them to anyone visiting the Azores.
