The Peña Palace tour was fantastic and beautiful. And it was great to go so early, because if we had shown up even 30 minutes later, we would have been in a long line.
Sintra village was quaint and cute. Fun to pop into the shops and take pictures.
Cascais is a beautiful beachside town. Another great stop for a few shops and photos. We had a little bit of a tour around there, but ultimately this stop was to get on the boat.
Now the word “sailing” to us as American’s made us think we’d be in a large sail boat. However, we were in more of a cabin cruiser. We loved it! The captain had great stories about Portugal, surfing, the coastline, etc.
It was a great boat to be on when the wind can get chilly. We could sit up top for amazing views, on the back deck to avoid some of the wind, or in the cabin to stay warm and watch through the window. Blankets were offered as well if we wanted to stay outside the whole time.
The whole day was a great way to see as much as we could since we were in Lisbon for only a few days.
