Wonderful Day Trip to Wine Country South of Lisbon!!

We wanted to have a winery tour, which this was, and so much more!!! We ended up seeing the Christo Rei, Palmela Palace, driving through the national park, a tile factory, a fish market, a harbour AND a 2 wineries (Bacalhoa and Piloto). Bacalhoa had a palace and two museum features as well as the wine tour/tasting. We ate at a seaside restaurant which was out of this world (right on the ocean and food was fantastic)!!. Drivers were charming and spoke English very well.!! They certainly knew what was worth seeing and how to get there efficiently. I would highly recommend this tour. It was the highlight of our trip!!!

Words cannot express how much I enjoyed this tour. Antoine, our guide was so accommodating from beginning to end. If you are a history buff he is your guide. If you just want the highlights he is more than happy to tailor your trip. I wanted to experience the surrounding area outside of Lisbon but not necessarily the biggest tourist spots. I experienced great Portugal hospitality, food and wine. Tremendous viewpoints, castles, cathedrals and local towns. If you are open to experience the hidden gems of Portugal you will enjoy this tour.
