Douro Valley has one of the most stunning landscapes in the world, rich for its sinuous terracing, a place where man overcame the land slopes to plant vines wich made this region to be considered a World Heritage Siteand one of the world’s oldest Demarcated Wine Region (since 1756).
You will have the opportunity to taste some of Douro’s best wines, in selected estates that show you the best of this region in terms of tradition, uniqueness and quality.
In the village of Pinhão, heart of the Douro valley, you will have the opportunity to admire the magnificent landscapes on a 50 minutes boat cruise along the river in the traditional rabelo boat, if you select it. If you preffer, you can discover deeply the village, its people and streets and skip the cruise.
During the day, you will enjoy the real Portuguese gastronomy and awarded wines, blended with knowledge, relaxation and fun!

Perhaps most of all though she was just such a delightful, fun, and hilarious person. She wasn't just doing out her job, it was clear she was genuinely having fun with it, connecting with us as individuals, and making sure we were having a great time the whole day.
I cannot recommend this tour and Violeta enough. Unbelievable service and experience for the price. Honestly why are you still on TripAdvisor... Go book it already!
In reality her major could be in wine and Port as she gave so much information.

She told us what to expect on the tour and the time to travel to the Douro valley. The road was very windy and steep. She drove very careful.
The first wine tasting and olive oil stop was so beautiful !!
Then onto to the boat tour up the Douro river. Spectacular views of the vineyards.
Lunch after at perfect restaurant with table service. We are vegetarian and they accommodated our needs . Lovely pasta. Coffee, dessert.
Second was a small local owned port winery Moraccos.
Can’t say enough about this tour.
Small group is the best as personal and no waiting for the tastings and Lunch.
The tour guide made this whole tour the best for us.
Violetta is certainly in her element with her career choice. She was dynamic , funny and knew the tour operators very well. We can tell she is very respected in the tour industry.
