Opened in April 2006, the Marina Club li Dom Joao is a modern apartment complex overlooking the Lagos yachting marina, 500 metres from the beach. This four- floor property features 35 contemporary studios and apartments defined by minimalist decor in white and grey, complemented by strong shades or orange, red and black. Materials used include marble, glass, stainless steel and wooden floors. All open onto balconies or terraces overlooking the pool and marina, and include kitchenettes with kettles, refrigerators, toasters and microwaves. Amenities include LCD televisions with satellite channels, Internet connections (surcharge), direct-dial phones and safes. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations and complimentary toiletries.

The health-conscious can work out in the fitness room and then unwind in the sauna and spa tub or take a dip in the indoor pool. Guests can charter boats at the marina or enjoy a sightseeing cruise. There are plenty of opportunities for water sports at the beach, 500 metres away, and the nearest golf course is within three kilometres of the hotel. Faro Airport is 80 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
